Irregular Verbs, but in a Regular Way

If you're learning irregular verb conjugations, you might first what to check out our lesson on stem-changing verbs, that is, verbs that are conjugated irregularly, but in a regular way, so to speak. In those verbs, the o of the stem changes to ue when stressed. There's also another type of "regular irregular" verbs, those in which the e of the stem changes to ie when stressed. As the lesson on i-to-ie verbs explains, this group includes such common verbs as sentir, pensar and entender. And some other common verbs, such as querer, follow the same pattern part of the time.
