The Imperative [Commands]


Commands are used in language to give orders. There are both formal and informal forms in Spanish for giving commands.

FORMAL COMMANDS

To form the formal commands, use the present subjunctive forms of "usted" and "ustedes". To form the negative form of the command, simply put "no" in front of the verb.

Examples for usted:   compre, beba, escriba
Examples for ustedes:   compren, beban, escriban
